Learning Explorers 2023-24
Learning Explorers is a primary school outreach programme, aiming to plant the seed early for college and university, and normalise the language of care in the classroom. Learning Explorers was developed in response to “A Blueprint for Fairness” (COWA), which highlights both the importance of improving outcomes for care-experienced learners, and the value of reaching learners underrepresented in further/higher education at earlier stages. Our partnership staff and student ambassadors worked with 8 schools, and 524 pupils, with all pupils getting an opportunity to come onto a college or university campus! To see the impact that we made, see our project infographic.
Credit to our student ambassadors Daphne and Jake for producing this infographic, and with thanks to Educational Opportunity Foundation funding this programme.
